Intro

Why This Is Important To Me

I chose to blog about this topic because I feel it is important to discuss partial-birth abortion and how and why we should make a change to put an end to it.

Growing up in big Catholic family and attending 13 years of Catholic school has definitely shaped my views on respecting human life.  The concept of partial-birth abortion is pretty awful to me knowing that it involves killing an innocent baby.  I know many people have different reasons and excuses for why they support PBA, but I can't.  It doesn't seem fair to take away the life of an innocent baby, no matter the reason.

My goal is to let others see my reasons for banning PBA and to gain support to work towards this change.

Who Am I Asking To Make This Change?

Michelle Obama is my key audience.  I wrote a letter to the First Lady to try to convince her of my reasons for supporting the ban and hopefully I can motivate her to keep the ban against partial-birth abortion.  In my research I discovered a letter Mrs. Obama had written about why she thought the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban was unconstitutional.  I want to address this letter and prove why the ban is constitutional and why it is needed.

Who Else?

Other possible contenders for this Make a Change Project could be Michigan state Senator Jack Brandenburg, who approved and enforced the ban in the state of Michigan.  He could help support those who wish to promote the ban.   You could also reach out to U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf of Nebraska who is against banning partial-birth abortion and explain to him your reasons for wanting to ban this procedure.

Go For It! Get Involved:

You too can help make this change! You can write your own letters to members Congress or other groups to show your support for the ban and do your part in stopping PBA.
